Here at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, we take our ministry to children very seriously. We recognize the privilege and responsibility we have each time a child is entrusted to our care. With this in mind, our HG Kids Ministry is committed to three Core Values:

1. We take your child’s safety seriously.

We are committed to providing a safe environment, demonstrated in the way we screen our team, train our team, and secure our facilities.

2. We take your child’s Bible education seriously.

We are committed to helping expand your child’s vision of God with the same degree of passion that Hickory Grove does with all other age groups.

3. We take your child seriously.

We are committed to welcoming, teaching, ministering, loving, and valuing every child placed in our care, as the Lord Jesus did in Matthew 10:13–16.

Sunday School & The Gospel Project

Sundays at 8, 9:30, & 11 AM

The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events–presenting the story of redemption through Jesus like kids have never seen it before! Each week, these stories come to life through video, music, activities and more.

HG Kids Worship

Sundays at 5:45 PM in Rooms 301 & 501

Children from preschool (age 4) through 5th grade work towards learning music to lead two worship concerts per year (Christmas and Spring), during the school year (September–May). They also have the opportunity to perform in morning church services a few times a year.

Awana

Wednesdays from 6:45–7:45 PM (August–May)

Awana is a weekly, fun-filled program for children 3 years old through 5th grade that challenges them to memorize scripture and apply it to their lives. Cost is $25 per child. Cost includes an Awana handbook that your child will use all year long and a vest (Cubbies & Sparks) or a t-shirt (Truth & Training). HG Kids Choir

Sundays at 5 PM

Ages 4–5 years: Older preschoolers learn the fundamentals of music in a fun, interactive environment. Bring your child to their age-appropriate classroom.

Grades 1–5: All elementary children are invited to join us each Sunday night for our children’s choir ministry as they prepare a gospel-centered musical and memorize God’s Word. Each semester children will prepare a full musical, including drama, dances, and solos.
